First Hair Cut

Ava has been LONG over due for a hair cut. Her bangs have been down to her nose for awhile. This "before" picture is way back from Halloween.

I've been putting it off because I was afraid it would be a traumatic experience for her. She has a pretty bad case of white coat syndrome that seems to carry over to other people in uniform who try touching her... photographers, nurses, ect. I was pretty sure a stylist would send her into panic, especially since she was cathed just a few weeks ago. I even considered cutting it myself. In the end, we took her to a specialty children's salon. It was a hit! She got to pick a pink and purple jeep suspended in the air to sit in for her haircut. And inside the jeep there were buttons and a phone. And if that wasn't enough, there was a tv with cartoons playing in front of her jeep. She was having so much fun, she didn't even notice those bangs getting snipped away. In fact, she didn't even want to leave. The salon even put together a little certificate with a before and after picture of her in the jeep and a little lock of her hair. And just look at how cute it turned out!
