A Room For Little Girls

As promised, a post about decorating the nursery!
Can I still call it a nursery now that my first baby is 3?  When we first moved here a year and a half ago, Ava's furniture/decor didn't come close to filling up her new room and we didn't bother to do much with it since we were planning on putting another baby in there when the time came.  And here it is!  Her room has been pretty bare for awhile and it was really fun to put together a little girls room! Ryan did all the furniture assembly during his week of vacation and Ava picked out most of the accessories/art work herself... although I did veto a huge navy blue crayon thing.  It was ugly and didn't fit the color scheme :)  She is most excited about the little yellow owl ( its a little hard to see, but its on the bookcase) which is a night light. I  I sewed all of the pillows and quilts.

The view from the doorway:

Bad photo, sorry.  It was suppose to be a picture of the curtains, rocking chair with cute pillow, and basket with Ava's stuffed animals.  Guess you'll need to come visit me now, so you can see it for yourself :)

A place for hair bows:

Clothing closet:

Ava's bed.  If you are looking close and wondering about the mismatched hair bows... she fixed her own hair today :)

Baby's half of the room:

I'm pretty pleased about how it turned out and I love that it totally represents Ava and what she likes.  I am so excited to bring home the new baby to such a cute little room!
