Polar Bear Swim

Every year in December we do a polar bear swim. But we are WAY too wimpy and not anywhere NEAR crazy enough to swim in frigid water with ice and snow. So we usually head for the hot pools. Our tradition began when we were dating, engaged and newly weds back in 2007. We went up often to Lava Hot Springs to soak in the hot pools and eat at the Thai restaurant there. In fact, one of those trips was the first time Ryan told me that he loved me. So every year, we reminisce our love crazy days by heading to the hot pools and eating Thai food. This year we went to an indoor pool at a local community center. We had a ball! Ava splashed around in the zero entry pool with the fountains and even went down the toddler water slide. The water wasn't quite as warm as her usual baths so she got a little chilly towards the end. Nothing a towel and a good cuddle with Dad can't fix!

  1. What a fun tradition! Can you believe all that has happened in such a few years?
