Our Week In Photos

Shoe Shopping! A girl after my own heart, Ava also loves to shoe shop.  We both went home with a pair.  Ava loves how they SPARKLE!

We had cousin Chad over to play for a bit.  Chad is pretty much Ava's best buddy.  She gets pretty lonely being home with just me and was really excited to have Chad over.  I think she will be heartbroken when they move back to Idaho. They both love to play and sing at the piano.  The ABC song is their favorite.

I went shopping with a friend at the plaza and picked up some much needed maternity clothes.  I don't fit into any of my regular clothes anymore :)  This is my 17 week baby bump.  Also, this week is when I felt the first little fluttering and kicks. 

FHE: We read a short, little, illustrated story from The Friend called "My Heart is Happy." When we asked Ava what made her heart happy she replied, "my bus and my puppy."  Then we hung paper hearts to remind us this week (valentines) of all the things that make our hearts happy.  It was a big hit.  Ava has spent the entire week rearranging the hearts around the house.   Eventually, they all ended up in her room. 

Valentines Day!  Ryan made reservations at the Kona Grill and surprised me with a beautiful swiss topaz necklace and some chocolate covered strawberries.  It was pretty yummy, but we both agree nothing compares to J. Gilberts, our favorite steakhouse.  Regardless, we had a lovely romantic evening together.  Ryan was also a sweetie and got Ava a cute card and a little stuffed turtle.  She cannot be separated from them.  For Ryan,  I got up early and surprised him with a big waffle breakfast before he went to work.   Ava also went to a little valentines day party with friends, which she was so excited about.  It was cute, but I failed to get any pictures :)  It was a really fun day!
